The Libra Full Moon will be exact March 20, 2019, at 9:42 pm est, 6:42 pm pt and on March 21st at 1:42 am UK time… you’ll to need to check for your time zone if different time. At full moons the moon sits opposite the sun, that is why it is known as a time of illumination. At this time the sun is illuminating the moon at its full strength…the shadows are introduced to the light. This moon is also a super full moon and the term super moon means the moon is close to the earth. For this moon, she will be sitting opposite the sun in Aries…the Feminine is facing the masculine. To me, this really going to be an intense moon when it comes to relationships…with yourself as well as others. Now normally being opposite is uncomfortable as it does have ‘exposing’ energy, but here there are other planets supporting this meeting and the conversations are quite juicy. This illumination could have us looking at our Self in all of our relationships and how we, at our core, feel about them. Libra’s planet is Venus (Mars is in Taurus who’s planet is also Venus). And Venus is at 23 degrees of Aquarius. So relationships are very much highlighted at this time. Venus is forming a square with her lover Mars (which is Aries planet) is in Taurus…and Taurus is about our senses, but it is also slow and steady and in this position is motivated by its physical wants and needs.
The Sun represents our Core, it is who we are, and it is sitting in Aries. Aries is I AM, it is all about the Self, this energy can be about actively going after you desire
But there are other planets to consider here. The sun will be meeting Chiron who is sitting at 1 degree in Aries during the full moon, remember Chiron is the wounded healer and represents our deep woundedness so this energy can cause us to feel vulnerable and insecure with where we are going. Aries is initiation energy, it heralds a new beginning…this energy is about birthing a new YOU. With Chiron bringing up these insecurities we could easily feel timid with our future because the energy is still unfolding.
So many of us may be feeling like you’re really not sure what direction your moving in…but know you are moving forward. We may have many things put before us, but we are vetting them, we are seeing which path is the best for us, which path will honor what we value in our lives.
With this full moon mixed with the spring equinox, along with the exchange between mars and venus, a balance of ‘give and take’ is looked at as well. This Equinox is really adding that balance…freely take and freely give, especially in our relationships.
Venus is in Aquarius and this is about marching to the beat of your own drum, it is about being free, being able to be yourself. It is independent energy.
Internally we are looking at how we respond or act in all the relationships in your life. Are you the one doing all the giving, or are you the one doing all the taking. When we talk about equality, we see this as one having the same rights as the other, but it goes deeper than that.
In our society today, the feminine energy is on the rise and there has been a negative glare shifted toward the negative impact of the patriarch which has caused the unbalance in mas and fem energy, which in turn as affected the masculine energy as a whole. This has brought up deep-seated things that we might not want to acknowledge, let alone face. This really takes us into an area of having to face our inner demons. And this is for ALL of us…and remember what is being worked out inside, is also being worked on outside…as within, so without.
The aspect of this moon…the moon is having a very harmonious conversation with Venus which is located at 23 in Aquarius and is at sextile Jupiter at 23 degrees of Sagittarius. Uranus is still at 0 degrees of Taurus, while Mars in the sign of Taurus is also at 23 degrees and it is trine with Pluto at 22 degrees Capricorn, the south node at 23 degrees Capricorn and Saturn at 19 degrees of Capricorn. This is tremendous energy supporting the Spring equinox Libra full moon. We may feel a bit unsure of what is next on our journey, but we have to trust in our Self, trust the unfolding of life, and listen to our inner guidance system…our intuition or what many call our “gut feelings”. Now some see this is a definite opposition that can really bring disruptions in our relationships…but I see the other side of this. Venus sextile Jupiter is wanting to you to get out and mingle with those of like mind, those that have the same values you have, those that vibe with you. This conversation is saying do what you love and enjoy the freedom of being self-reliant. And Mars and it’s trine with Pluto, south node, and Saturn is wanting long term, commitment, loyalty, it is about wanting what is safe and secure. And see this as…if we are making relationships with others that are on our wavelength, those that have the same values we have, those understand and can benefit our lives…and can have the best of both worlds. When we are in these relationships that are balanced, we are able to be who we are, we are able to commit to that which truly matters to us, we are able to grow and develop in our own ways. We have to be willing to walk away from that which doesn’t have a place in our lives. There is an energy of simpleness here as we are looking into our future and what we want to have in our lives for the long term. We want to be able to shine our light but to be in a relationship with another. And this can actually be done, but it does take one to be fully conscious. Relationships can be mirrors, and it may require you to work through the EGO. so for those that are in relationships at the current time, it is urging you to have your individuality, as well as honoring your commitment. There is definitely an energy of transition, and we must honor the cycle of our Earth. Not everything is meant to stay in our lives and if something is choosing to leave, if an ending has presented itself, you must detach yourself from it and move on.
Be careful here as mercury is still in Rx, so stay out of your head and use your senses. We have been working hard, but we can’t forget to go out and have some fun…we have to balance the every day with new adventures in our life. I feel a real shifting in all relationships instead of becoming lost in another and ending up in co-dependent ways, to one of honoring our Core self, while being committed to someone else, or something. Venus is wanting independence and Mars wants stability and this can happen when you are in relations with others that are in alignment with you.
Uranus in Taurus is reminding us that things do not happen overnight and to allow things to develop organically. Sure go after what you want, but understand the process of all things.
Neptune is not keeping it’s Self out of the picture here. He’s still in Pisces, so we have to be careful of illusions still. There could also be some secrets coming out and it being at 16 degrees and he is beginning his descent and this could mean for our outer/external world such as our environment, secrets could be coming out about foreign countries, things such as that. Within us we are shown the fantasy, we see the illusions, and we look for what is real, what is going to sustain us in our future to come.
Mercury is still Rx in Pisces and he’s not expected to get go direct until the 28th, and he’s giving us the energy to think things through, making sure we are not rushing into things that will not serve us and helping us move through healing. This is not victim-type energy, it is about realizing your role in relationships and how you express yourself in them, getting your needs met and not having just a good time for now. No, we are looking into our futures and we want solidarity as well as honoring our individualization.
Blessed Full Moon,
After being in the emotional waters of Pisces for 2 years, Mars moves into Aries on the 31st of December at 9:19pm est. This will be a strong charge, giving our new year a BIG blast of energy. This was an emotional release for many.
Going into Aries, Mars will give us the energy to go…go for it!
Mars is always known for his warrior role, but behind this armor lies great passion. Homer described Ares, Mars’ Greek counterpart, as the “helper of men” and the “giver of dauntless youth”, even saying that he is “unwary” and he “exceeds in strength. Mars fuels your passions, those things that give you that spark, toward those things that you are attracted to.
As Mars sat in Pisces, he laid his sword down, took off his armor, and healed. When he comes out of Pisces, he will be ready for action – remember Aries is about action. Be careful with blow-ups.
With the sun being in Capricorn, it will give us some grounding energy that will definitely be needed. This will give us the self-confidence we need in order to be successful with our goals.
Join me Thursday night at 9pm EST and we’ll talk about this energetic dance in depth.
